The circuit of the Communitat of Valencia opened its doors in 1999, the year during which it welcomed the Championship of the World FIM and the Championship of Spain.
The circuit of Valencia has the peculiar characteristic of turning against the rotation of a clock and possesses several track options of different distances. The MotoGP riders use a track of 4 km consisting of five right-hand turns, eight on the left and a straight of 650m. Although the track seems tiny, 48 pit-boxes are at the disposal of the Teams with 150.000 seated spectator places arranged around the circuit, giving an impression to the riders of a football stadium!
